Backup failure

I am using the latest version of Reckon Personal Plus. I have had no  problems with backups in the recent past. I backup to ...One Drive/ Documents/ Reckon/Reckon Backup. I am now getting the message ' A Backup error occurred.' Please check your files were backed to the selected location.'
They are not in the selected location and I dont think they went anywhere because the message came up instantly and my backups usually take a second or two to complete. Last successful B/U was last week.
I have tried a different folder without any success.
Any suggestions please?

Lex

Gerry, that's great, but the rest of us don't know how you sorted the problem.  It would be nice if you could post a summary of the solution here for future reference.  Thanks, Brad

Lex, I have had this problem with a local drive.  The solution was to store your Reckon files in a folder with a short path, i.e. a folder in the root directory.  Apparently, PP 2020 does not like long pathnames for backups!  Don't know why, but I made a folder c:\Reckon, stored my Reckon files in that and have not had any backup issues since then.  Regards, Brad

Thanks Brad, I am working through this problem with Gerry. I will be doing what you suggest in future, my immediate problem is lack of disk space. When I fix that I will be doing what you suggest.

    Thanks, Lex

I cannot express my appreciation enough to Gerry Winter for the enormous time he spent with me resolving my backup problem. The solution was simple but was complicated by me not having adequate space on my computer and my use of One Drive.

After 2 long sessions on the phone he has me back on track with some important pointers for handling Reckon.

    Many thanks Gerry,

    Lex
