backup recovery of 2009 QDATA.QDT File

Hello.

I have a problem restoring a 2009 backup. I telephoned Reckon about this problem and spoke on one occasion to Julie and when Julie could not help me I later spoke with Olivia. Both could not help.
My problem is that I have a file which I really need to restore and have a Backup File dated 1 June 2009 a QDATA.QDT file that I want to restore.
When I try to do this I get a message
"The Disk is not ready"

Can anyone please help me with this?  Thank you

Thanks for your reply.

I contacted Reckon Support and was not at all impressed by their answer (as follows)

"Thank you for contacting Reckon Customer Service.

 Please be advised that Quicken 2009 is a sunset product. You may seek help on Reckon community. We would advise you to raise your query on Reckon Community and it will be addressed.

 I did telephone and try to contact Kevin Russel, but that appears to be a pay by the minute service.

If you have any other ideas I would appreciate your help.
