backup not responding

I cant back up my company file on accounts plus 2013 it wont work to usb, cd, or hard drive it gets to 94% and freezes saying reckon not responding I have tried renaming the file and it still wont work?

    Hey Chole, welcome to the Reckon Community. Sorry to hear you've had some troubles backing up. Have you tried to back up to portable company file? Thanks, Mirko

    will that allow me to be able to update it because under portable file it says its a much smaller file and I was worried I would lose my work.

    Hey Chole, unlike a normal backup file, the portable file does not include letters, logos, images, and templates. It also doesn't contain a transaction log (.tlg file), everything else is the same.
