Bank feed - can I download transactions from before the feed was created? (Historical transactions)

Hi all
Still getting used to bank feeds. I've just set up a new one, but it is only downloading transactions from yesterday (which is the day it was created).

Is there any way I can download transactions from before yesterday? The bank account itself has been active for a few months and I don't really want to manually code all those transactions.

Grateful for any advice
Yas

    Hi there Yasmin,

Bank Data feeds will provide data from the date your subscription became active, in this case, yesterday. Unfortunately historical data prior to the date of activation is not available.

There is quite a bit of info on the forum already around Bank Data which will help you get familiar with it or as always pop us a question right here.

This Bank Data webinar might be helpful also - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ-gcbMcLrk

    Cheers
    Rav

    Hi Yasmin,

You should still be able to manually import a bank statement file (QIF or CSV format) containing historical transactions dated before your bankfeed activation date.

Please note: You can only import historical transactions as far back as the bank account start date &/or the book start date defined in your book.

    Example:
    Book start date = 01/07/15
Bank account start date = 01/08/15
    Bankfeed activation date = 01/09/15

In the above example you can manually import transactions from the 01/08/15 onwards.

The bank account start date can be modified as far back as the book start date. The book start date however cannot be modified as it was set during the book creation wizard & isn't editable once a book has been created.

Oh that's a shame. Wonder if this will ever be possible? Thanks for your help :-)
