This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Bank feed issue.

Hi Kerrie,

Welcome to the Reckon Community.

I've checked with our bankdata records and it appears that transaction flow from the Bank to your BankData record is in order and you should have access to all tranactions from 25 November 2016.

What is the last date of a transaction you see in the New Transactions screen for your bank account?
In the top right of the New Transactions screen, how many downloads available is showing?

regards,
John.

Hi Kerrie,

You only have access to transactions from the day of activation.

To get earlier transactions you can create a list of transactions on your bank website and export to a CSV or QIF (Quicken AUS) format.  Import this file through the Manual Upload button on the New Transactions screen.

regards,
John.

Hi John G,
Just wondering- so for anyone new to Reckon One- does that mean data is only available from the day activated and I have to go in and manually import all past transactions?
I did speak to the call centre yesterday and they said it will automatically go back and import the last 60 days (as that is what I have set) and then I only have to import what was before that date. I have been waiting kind of patiently for it to automatically upload.
I didn't want to manually upload as i dont want duplicate transactions.
Any help would be great at the moment as it seems the 'help' centre steered me wrong.

When i look at my bank feed it says:
Upload source       Bank feed: ANZ
Date                       Apr 2017
Completed             No

Hi Tash,

Direct Bank feeds provide a copy of the Bank's posting to your bank account each night.  You will only have access to transactions from the day the Bank approves your application.  Each bank varies in the speed of approval but allow up to 8 days from submitting your form to us.  (ANZ and Westpac provide the option to nominate your accounts on their website and get a quicker approval)

Yodlee feeds, an alternative channel, work by using your bank internet credentials to access your account and extract transactional information (yes, Yodlee pretend to be you).  On sign-up Yodlee will retrieve up to 3 months (or however much your financial institution permits) worth of transactions and makes them available to you within a few minutes.  It will update daily, but if it encounters a request for additional security information, no update will be made until you provide that information (the status on Bank Feed Management will show as Authentication Required), and then it will update from its last successful update.

Your Reckon One Book will copy by default 60 days of previously undownloaded transactions from your BankData record.  You can change this retrieval range in cogwheel > Settings > General > Business Settings, and the Bankdata: retrieve last field (maximum is 365 days).  BankData will allow you to download transactions only once.  A download happens to all your bankdata accounts when you go to the New Transactions screen (Actions > New transactions) of any linked bank ledger account.

The number of transactions you can download in any given charging month is determined by the allowance on your plan (100, 250, 500).  Transactions will download in order from the first transactions in the retrieval range forward until your plan limit is hit.  You will not be able to download any more transactions until your plan renews or you upgrade to a plan with a higher limit.

The information in the top right of the new Transactions screen is telling you the date of the latest download and whether those transactions (visible in the table below) have been allocated.

When you manually upload a file a second line will appear under your Bank feed: ANZ line.  BankData downloads and manually uploaded files are not shown together in the New table.  The green highlight in the upload source section indicates which import is being shown.  Just click on the source you wish to view.

The last line in the Upload Source section lets you know how many downloads you have left on this charging period.

Hope this helps to understand the workings of BankData.

regards,
John
