I want to by a new version of quicken as my 2009 copy will not load on my new 64 bit pc.  Quicken personal did not load my old file as it did not have and investment section and i then bought reckon home and business which does not load a qdf file.

    Hi Craig

Reckon Accounts Personal Plus and Home & Business should both update your 2009 data file.  Reckon Personal does not keep all of the information in a single file - but uses a number of different files (eg filename.qdf, .hcx, .idx, .qel, .qid, .qin, qph).

Try doing a backup on the old system, then on the new system:
    • open the sample file (File > Open Sample File)
    • Restore the Backup (via File > Restore Backup)
    • Open the file (File > Open )
