Calculating used and unused annual leave for termination pay

Hi, I have set up the accrual period at 'every pay' which is weekly. And begin accrual time is set at 'April 2016'. But, I have to terminate an employee on March 2017, and looking at the 'hours used this year' , the number shows only the hours used until Dec 2016. I dont understand why it doesnt calculate the hours used after Jan 2017. 
Does anyone know why?
Also, does the 'Hours available as of march 2017' include the whole 160 holiday hours for 2017?
