Cannot edit employee details in Reckon App

Anytime I try and edit an existing employee, the app literally crashes and reopens back to the original splash page app and doesn't enter into edit details. It's upon clicking the three dots in the top right once in a profile of a employee.

If I do attempt multiple times, it eventually says there has been an error and gives me an error log - see attached.

Any way to fix this? Please help

I've attempted logging in / out. I've tried uninstalling. I've tried another phone. Issue persists!

Further, how can get live support? Is the community board the only way to troubleshoot? This worries me and makes me wonder if I have an issue before a payrun and I'm unable to find a fix - what then? We just have to cop a penalty from the ATO due to the app not having better support?? It seems great but super buggy!

Hi Julian,
Which version of the Android app are you using? v1.2.0? (You'll find the version number on the Settings section in the app).

Does this occur on ANY employee that you attempt to edit or just a particular one?

Can you clear the app data by going into your phone settings > Apps > Reckon STP > Storage > Clear Data
(This path will vary depending on the make/model of your phone).
Once the above is completed, login and try again.

Let me know if there's any change.

I've uninstalled completely and also tried clearing data.

I'm using 1.3.0

I only have one employee.

No changes unfortunately.

Thanks for this Julian,
Could you shoot me a screenshot of this employee showing their full employee profile and the details that are currently entered for them ie. name, email, phone, address fields etc to community@reckon.com (please include a link to this thread in the email).

I asked our app team about this error and they want to take a closer look, it could be that there is something entered in a field in the employee profile that the back-end isn't recognising as text.

It will be the date of birth as this is the last thing I updated before it stopped working. But how do I fix that if I cannot edit the employee? Also, I don't feel comfortable emailing my employee's details including their TFN and details. Is there another way around this? Surely ...

Hi Julian,
There's not much I can add without some specifics that can be investigated which is why I asked for the details previously. I've already been knocked back about this because there aren't enough details. I fully appreciate & understand the sensitivity of the info and I'm not looking for any details that are secure to the individual so feel free to block out the TFN etc.
