Hi There,

I receive the following error when trying to create/upload a company file
"cannot communicate with the company file"

After reading in the help section it looks to be firewall related, although i have the port 10176 forward to my server and still have the same issue

I have also added a "Scan folder" under the Reckon Accounts Database Server Manager so it knows the QBW file location, can anyone assist with this please?

Thanks,
Ethan

Hi Ethan,

Welcome to the Reckon Community.

Ensure that the relevant port for your edition (2012/13=10175; 2013=10176, 2014=10177) is made an exception in all security software - like your anti-virus, real-time scanner, ip scanner, Desktop Management tools, routers.

You should also ensure that the QuickBooks network is properly configured.  See KB404 http://kb.reckon.com.au/issue_view.asp?ID=404 for a full guide on a correct network setup.

If problems persist please call Technical Support for further one-to-one assistance.

regards,
John

Hi John,

Thank you for your response,
A quick reboot of the server late last night fixed the port issue :)

Ethan
