can't delete unnecessary accounts

Hi there, 

Using Reckon Accounts Plus 2015
There are dozens of unnecessary accounts in my chart of accounts, I want to delete these however Reckon has an error which claims I can't delete an account with subitems, however, there are no sub accounts. Adding a sub account and deleting it doesn't help either. They are all Equity/Asset accounts and contain no transactions or anything of the sort.

Really need to tidy this up as I have 50+ unnecessary accounts in the list

    Hi Eloise - make sure you tick the box to show Inactive accounts - now you will see the subaccounts that will need to be deleted before you can delete the header account (but only if no transactions attached)... cheers Linda

    If your positive there are no transactions try merging then you'll end up with a single inactive account
