Cant get through Windows 8 firewall in multi-user mode

I have added "reckon apps" with port 10176 and create additional exceptions but no joy getting thro firewall. Turning off firewall works and can access company file. Reckon Premier Edition 2014

    Are you using a Home or Professional edition of Windows 8?

    I using Windows 8 64 bit Professional edition.

    Hi

    It could be that you are configuring the firewall on your workstation rather than the computer where the datafile resides.  Is the datafile on a different computer?

    Hi,
    I am only using two computers with one (windows8) holding the shared company data. I can locate file with second computer but when QB attempts to load/ access this file QB comes up with error with regard to firewall. The data file is quite large 290mb, will this affect access or just make it slow?

    Are they both Professional edition?
