Change of ABN

Hi Reckon Team,

I have registered my Company for the STP with Reckon, but I set up my account using the wrong ABN and information. The Tax Office has advised that they're unable to change this information and I need to request this change through Reckon instead. 

Currently my account is registered with the below information:

Ed The Carpenter PTY

ABN: 87156238685

However, I'm unable to process the pay runs correctly due to the incorrect name and ABN I registered with. I need to change this information to the below:  

Ed The Carpenter (for the Sheridan-Ferrie Trust)

ABN: 96560351463

Is this something you can help me with?

Hi Ed,
Ordinarily I'd be able to delete the ABN registration so that you can start over but because there have been submissions sent for this, I can't do that. (We can't remove ABN's that have had submissions made).

Can you confirm that the submissions you've made in the app all resulted in 'Error' status?
Did you register the Software ID with the ATO for this incorrect ABN?

Hi Rav

I have a client who has the same problem - the app picked up the incorrect ABN and they are getting the same messages as above.  Can we do the same as ed and email you a consent to correct the ABN?

Sure thing but can you please create a separate thread because I need more information before sending through the written consent ie. if the Software ID was registered for the incorrect ABN with the ATO, what the error messages are they've received for any sent submissions (if any) and details of the app account & ABN etc.

Hi Ed,
Just getting back to you on this. I've just received confirmation from the devs that the ABN has been removed from your account.
What you'll need to do now is logout of the app (Settings section > Logout) and then swipe it away from your running apps and leave it for a few minutes. Log back in and it should take you through registering the ABN again.
