change primary reckon portal account holder

Hello.
I am currently the primary reckon portal account holder, and as such am able to 'share' the account with other users in our payroll department for STP (using the latest Premier version if it matters). I am leaving the Company shortly however, and am concerned that no one else will be able to 'share' the account with new users (users i have already shared with are unable to on-share). I assume i need to transfer the primary holder position somehow to enable this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello David

Before you leave the business you need to open your Reckon Accounts program and choose who will become the administrator instead of you. Go to Company in the Top Menu Bar and in the drop-down list select "Set up Users". This will open the Set up Reckon Accounts Administrator dialog box in which you can enter a new Administrator Password then confirm Password and the new administrator will have that information available so they can log in as the new Administrator..

This is the case when there is only you using the software. If there are others you need to add them in the User List dialog box which appears when you close the Administrator dialog box. Here you add other users and then edit them to give them various logon permissions for accessing the company data file in the way they are authorised to do. When done click the Close button in the User List dialog window.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this,
From what I've gathered by having a chat with the devs is that to change or 'pass on' the admin level of an STP entity is still under review in terms of functionality/best practice for the front end of the Reckon Portal.

In your case however, if you'd like to shoot me an email to community@reckon.com providing written consent with the following criteria I can ask our devs to look at it on an individual level.

- Must contain business letterhead,
- ABN
- Your Reckon Portal user name
- Reckon Portal user name of the user you wish to take over
- Declaration of why you are wanting to provide administration privileges to another user
- Signed by you stating that you are acting on behalf of the business
