I have a client who pays his employees quarterly.  In the help section it says that I can choose "quarterly" but there is no "quarterly" choice in the drop down box.  Can I create a quarterly in the drop down box?  If not, how should I deal with this?

Hi Gretchen,

Welcome to the Reckon Community.

Thanks for the alert.  Unfortunately the reference to quarterly appears to an error.  Monthly and four-weekly are the longest periods handled by Accounts Business.

The workaround will be to use the ATO's quarterly tax tables or the Tax Withheld Calculator to calculate the correct amount of tax to withhold.  The tax calculator is at:
http://www.ato.gov.au/Calculators-and-tools/Tax-withheld-calculator/Individual-Non-business-Calculator.aspx

Set your employees' pay frequency to monthly and in the pay run manually adjust the amount of PAYG tax withheld to the amount indicated on the ATO 's tax calculator or tax tables.

Hope this is acceptable to your client.

regards,
John
