Hi All,

I am trying to look back into financial year end 2016 in Reckon Hosted (latest version) and I am finding all my entries 2016 are now single line journals with the narration "transactions created by using clean up process".  I wouldn't use this wizard if I hadn't totally finished with the year - the other person with access says they didn't run it.  So is it automatically done if the B/drive for backup is nearing capacity? Can I reverse it? thank you in advance Leanne

    Hello Retreats Victoria,

Its a bit of a mystery as the clean up process is not related to a backup in any way and must be launched by the user through File > Utilities > Cleanup Company Data.

To find out when this was done, download your company file to your local PC and use your free desktop Enterprise version to open it.  Click Ctrl+1 to view the Product Information screen and in the box Versions used on File look for an entry something like "CD 11/10/2017 30/06/2015" which represents Cleanup Data done on first date for transactions up to the second date.  This will give you a starting point to investigate how the cleanup came about.

Look for a backup with a date and time immediately before the Cleanup Data date to gain access to your transactions pre Cleanup.

    regards,
    John.
