p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica} Hi, We have a particular company file that is crashing the system when setting it to single user mode. Its also crashing when trying to exit the company file. Resolution steps taken: Set the security on the applications folder and programs folder to full control, Re-sort the name list, verified the database, rebuilt the database (success), Tried on multiple computers (Win7, 8, 10 and Windows Server 2012 R2. No luck. Any suggestions?? We've sat on the phone twice for over an hour only to be disconnected...... Mark

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your post.

As you have mentioned this happens to your one particular file and not to other files, it suggests that there is some corruption of the file which is causing this to happen. And looking at the log you have posted, it does not have any helpful information, as it does not have the log for the verify and rebuild like below.

Most likely the log was not accessed immediately after doing verify rebuild. Please note the log file get overwritten once you close the Reckon Accounts and reopen it, and all the log will be lost.

Can you please try again and get the log file information?

Now, coming back to your issue, it most likely there could be some corruption, please do another fresh verify / Rebuild of the file and grab the log file immediately,  prior to closing Reckon Accounts to see what error is shown.

In addition to this, can you also advise on:

  1. When did this issue start?
  2. Do you have any backup of the file prior to this issue?
  3. If the file is in Multi-user mode, then you switch to single user mode and it crashes.... then when you re-open the file is it now in single-user or multi-user mode?

Regards

Shisir
