Hi Eden,
There are a few reasons behind this error message which are detailed in this Knowledgebase article - Error: Connection Has Been Lost when working on a company file

Before that though, since this post is marked as Accounts Hosted I'd recommend ensuring your internet connection is constant and stable. Interruptions or dropouts in internet connection whether its momentary or extended will result in a loss of connectivity with the Hosted file.
