The question I have is simple. Why???
It just doesn't make sense to disable a standard OS function of being able to cut and paste different applications and across web pages.
There might be an occasion where the clipboard button could be useful, but please don't disable the most basic of tools just to get a pretty button.
Nonsense!!

Using Google Chrome, I ignore the clipboard and CTRL C/CTRL V and it still works within Reckon Accounts - it doesn't if you're copying and pasting from outside Reckon Accounts though.
So question, where are you copying & pasting from?
If it's outside of Reckon Accounts say in Excel or Word, are you processing data outside of Reckon Accounts when you could possibly be using functionality within the software to achieve the results you are after??
I have used features of the software to minimise re-keying of data for many of my clients and sometimes just requires "thinking outside the square". Whenever I see clients using Excel/Word, I always try to negate that and use other tools for efficiency gains and less re-keying.....just some food for thought.

In my case most of the data comes from my own web page or outlook, thunderbird, or a variety of web pages.
Using the current implementation of the "clipboard" is just a pain & clumsy

Maybe someone from Reckon can explain just why such simple actions are now impossible and why they have been disabled. It just doesn't make sense.

can I ask, even though it is almost unrelated, has there been any discussion about using one's default email client to send out emails, rather than use the RAHosted service. 99% of my cut and paste use is in transferring account addresses and email addresses to invoices etc to be emailed. The cut and paste function is what it is for the moment,, but the email service is limited in that we have no way of knowing if an email has in fact been delivered. No access to logs.

They are just ignoring the problems.
They don't care how much we are suffering, they may think that we don't dare to move to other system as we have been using for so many year.
I can tell they are losing their customers and have very bad reputation.......
There are some good application which are user friendly, like Xero, Window Dynamic and MYOB...
It is time to think about to move to a better system, better services and better future.......

BUT actually Reckon CANNOT work on Internet Explorer properly!!! Two week after the disaster "upgrade", I have called your Support line. (Actually couldn't get through your support line two week after the disaster). Your Support told me the same thing and I tried, but the screen was freeze several times....
I called again, your support then told me "Reckon CANNOT work on Internet Explorer properly".
What a joke and waste of time!!! Why don't they tell me before? Did they really try it before they give "professional" advise?????????
This make me more frustrated and hate this system and your service more!!!

1. who in charge of all these "Upgrade" - they didn't research enough and understand the end users need.
2. Who in charge of fixing these problems after so many complaints - taking so long still cannot fix it and without any update/progress.
3.Who in charge of Support Dept. - at that time they didn't give enough information/training to the front line Staff to give accurate support to the customer.
And also those staffs working at the front line, they are very keen to performance their jobs to solve the problems which they didn't created.
Therefore, I don't think they are responsible for these problems and I will not provide any details about the phone call to put them in trouble.
I hope you can understand!
