Hi, I have had a client download and start using the app BUT the opening balances were entered incorrectly. I have now going in and done an adjustment event to fix the YTD figures and in the employee pay summary its showing double then what it should be?? I'm a little confused and so is my client as she is worried she has gone an lodged double what she should have been?

The "secret" is to answer "NO" to the question.

To correct this: in the Pay Runs section, click on the + sign. Then click on
"New Adjustment". Go through the process you went through including "enter
the pay date" etc. & "whose amounts need to be adjusted". However, when you
do the adjustments for each employee, do minus amounts ( (equal to the plus
amounts you did when you entered the second time).

The "secret" is to answer "NO" to the question "have you paid an employee
after July 1st 2019?" (as you presumably already entered this information
after 1 July, when you initially set up your employees records). The system
treats this as a second record. I got caught with this too. By being
"honest" & saying YES, you get caught. So, With each pay run, answer NO!

cancel out the 2nd payment you made.
.
As far as the app keeping on asking you to register with the ATO, whilst
very annoying, you just have to "play the game" & do what you have been
doing to date. This is not a perfect app. Hopefully, Reckon can rectify in
the near future by perhaps asking the question "Have you registered with the
ATO?", to which you would simply answer, Yes.
I live in hope.
Let me know how you went.

Thanks for the reply the app doesn't let me input a minus figure. it just doesn't have the button for it. only the standard number keyboard and a decimal. there is a + deductions section. can i add it to that or is that something different?.
