Exporting a large CSV sales file generated by Reckon report

Finding some of the rows missing when loading in Excel 2010

Is there a Reckon file size limit when exporting in this fashion?

I think it is limited to Excel, files are exported from Reckon as XLS extension limited to 256 Columns and 65,536 rows.

If Reckon were able to export as XLSX file would be limited to 16,384 columns and 1,048,576 rows, which would give more scope, of having full data in exports.

Adrian.

You could try to print to ASCII file  or Comma deliminated file and then open it in Excel.

You can use the PRINT option to send data as an ASCII file. And from there you can import the file to Excel. I do this often, it does work.

Interesting, further testing shows only 32,768 rows were loaded into excel which is exactly half of what you mentioned in your email Adrian ie 65536/2

Seems reckon has a problem going beyond that - bug?
