Custom Field in Item Edit Window

Is there a way to make the Custom Field appear on the ITEM edit window?  Is there a way of putting a drop down list into this Custom Field?

    Hi again Chee-Wee Seow,

    Unfortunately no, you cannot have a Custom Field appear on the Item Edit window.  You must click on the Custom Field button to see the custom fields you have created and to create new ones.  

    No, the custom fields do not have drop down lists.  

    Custom Fields give you another column on your invoice to add more information.  It is here that you can change the information for this field.  

    Hope this explains the Custom Field feature.

    Thanks John.  So theoretically, can I replace the DESCRIPTION in the invoice form with this CUSTOM FIELD, subject to the fact that the maximum number of characters in the Custom Field is only 30?

    Yes, you can de-activate the Description field and activate the Custom Field on your invoice template.
