Date change

Another Windows 10 upgrade issue.  When I was using Windows 7, in the register window I was able to change the date up or down by using the +/-keys on the numbers pad.  Not so in Windowss 10.  The + key does nothing, while the - key tabs between the day - month - year.  To change the date of a register entry I have to use the mouse to click on the calendar icon and then click on the date required.  I preferred using the +/- keys.  Anyway that I can get this back again?

Hi Lionel,

Thanks for the heads up on this behaviour in Windows 10.  I'll pass it on to our product developers.  Our testing of Windows 10 with Reckon accounts still has a few more weeks to run, so watch out for our posts early next month on what has been found.

Gotta wonder what that QA department has been doing all these months.... Hey John? Users seem to be finding these issues better/faster than them!

We also don't want a list of issues, we want fixes! So when will these appear?

Thanks for the update Andrew,

Our developers have done a quick check on the +/- functionality and have found no problem with it on their test environment.  That suggests a setting issue.  They will be doing more testing to identify under what conditions that function does not  perform as expected.

Hi Lionel. Yes the num lock settings.... This is a key on the keyboard that turns the number pad from numbers into the arrows etc and back again. Do you have a num lock light on your keyboard? Is it on? Do the numbers enter numbers when you enter them via the num pad?

I don't recall it changing the -/+ keys but worth checking.

If this fails, you're best to try logging a support call with Reckon.

Hi Andrew, yes, I am aware of the function of the Num Lock key on the number pad.  It does not matter whether the Num Lock is activated or not.  When I am in the date field of the register the "-" key when pressed tabs between day>month>year with each press.  The "+" key does not do anything at all.  As I said, this is the behaviour of the keys whether Num Lock is activated or not.  Thank you for your help.  I will log a support call with Reckon.

No worries, as I said, it was a long shot! Put as much detail as you can into the support email/ticket, even if it seems 'simple' to you, Reckon support needs dummy step by step click here, click there and the issue happens.

Has his been fixed?  Got the same problem and the personal plus 16 upgrade hasn't fixed it.
