delivery docket not invoice

I dont want the delivery docket to show as an invoice in the customer's file until I convert the delivery docket to an invoice - can this be done and show as a delivery docket

    Hello Jan

    You can use Sales Orders for this.

    Create the sales order and set up a template for the sales order to be a delivery docket.

    Then the Sales order can be converted to an invoice.

    You may need to check the preferences in your file to turn on sales orders

    Agree with Adrian.
    However, it will show as a "Sales Order" in the Customer's transactions though as this in the template/form used.
