I have recently upgraded to Reckon Personal Plus 2017. I have been able to download quotes for the past 7 days, but wanted to get quotes for EOFY, 30th June quotes. Can I do this?

Hi Gayl,

While you can't download share prices further than the current 5 day time period natively within the program, you can import historical share price data from an external source via CSV file.

Carl, as Rav says, you'll need to import the historical data for each stock via a csv file.  It's a pain, but the only way.

To generate the csv file, access the historical prices from a website - I use Yahoo Finance (https://au.finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5EAORD?ltr=1) and then put a range on Historical data before Downloading.

After downloading you need to manipulate the file.  Closing Price column has to be cut and inserted ahead of the Date column, and the remaining columns deleted.  Insert a new column at A, and then add the ASX Code to every Row.  Remember to delete Row 1 which has the Column Names and then save the file in csv format.  I find it easier to save in the Root Directory, as say, C:\BHP.csv, as you have to type the full pathe and file name into Reckon to import.

Make sure you are in Portfolio View and then use the following Tabs - File/Import/Import Prices.  Type C:\BHP.csv when prompted.

Repeat for every stock!

Good luck, but come back with any questions.
