Elite takes 3 minutes to start in Windows 10

We recently switch our operating system from “Windows 7 Pro” to “Windows 10 Pro” and we experiencing a long starting time for Reckon Elite to start.  In Windows 7, Elite is starting immediately when we start the program.  However in Windows 10, it will take about 3 minutes to start.

 The Task Manager indicates that during the 3 minutes starting time, a program “Antimalware Service Executable” is running in the background and this program will close after 3 minutes when Elite emerge.  

Just wonder if there is a solution for it?

Hi Wilson,

It appears your firewall is blocking the application. You would need to make Elite as an exception into your security software to load faster. If you still have issues email support on support@reckon.com

I have the same problem here. I think the response was a little vague. Is the advice to make Reckon Elite Practice Management pass through the firewall? Is there anything else to add as an exception? Further, why the hell am I letting the most important data I have through the firewall when I have no need for anything outside of my local server?

Same problem here - it's so frustrating - mine can take up to ten minutes to load. Trying to find out where to download and install PM Server from to see if that will help.

Substantially faster once I allowed the process for elitecentral.exe in windows defender.
