Email Service Connection Error

Hi everyone,

We've been having a lot of trouble lately sending payslips from Reckon Accounts Premier: Retail Edition 2016. We're Trying to send the payslips from Reckon to Mozilla Thunderbird with an Internode email address. When sending the payslips, I receive an error as shown in this
screenshot.



I've tried disabling our antivirus, restarting the programs and PC, checked all settings and made sure Thunderbird is our default email client.

Hopefully we cant find a solution!

Hi Albert,
Reckon Accounts is designed to work with MS outlook and this is the only desktop level email platform the Reckon accounts  tested with, we never tested the Thunderbird system to see if it works or not. 
I would suggest for you to switch to MS outlook 2016 this should fix your issue or use the built in web mail  option to email. please see below for setup instruction.

I have tested Thunderbird and it works but gives the attached invoice a silly generic name, so I don't use Thunderbird for sending invoices

I do use Thunderbird for all my email but use Outlook for Reckon Accounts, which also has known issues but I learned to live with them

a quick note to the developers: Reckon accounts should work with any email client and not be limited to Outlook
