My app has been coming up with error on my pay runs this last two weeks. I have tried to adjust it but they come up as errors aswell. I have just looked on ato site and none of them are there. The message im getting is long but the short story is something to do with an item type does not match and something to do with the decimal point. I have been doing nothing differant. Looking forward to your response.

Hi Kerrie,
Can you post a screenshot of the error message you've received for your latest submission.

If you’re on a PC press print screen and that will take a photo of the screen, you can then paste it into a word document or take a photo with your phone perhaps, then click the camera down below your post to select the photo. I’m sure others will have some more suggestions

Further to my post is that my super payment has only ever had 2 decimal points and it works out to be the exact figure I put in so I cant understand why this has started to happen in the last two weeks.

Good morning Robyn

I have successfully adjusted my employees pay on the app. It now reflects the same figures as mine in the summary that I record manually and has also come with the green light DONE from the ATO. I also went into the business portal to see that there was an event update but this does not show any figures which is normal as I have a lot of updates LOL!

The next check will to be to check our employees MYGOV account with him and see if the Income Statement reflects the changes. Fingers crossed.
I will update you on this as soon as we can do this.

Moral of my story is that if I get an error in future I need to jump on the forum and ask what it is and what I need to do. I now understand that if I am a day or two late recording my pay that that is okay as it still allows you to do it . I will wait to record today's pay till tomorrow or Monday. As we only have one employee I thought this app was my better alternative.

Nearly there
THANK YOU !!

Thank you for confirming Kerrie, there are so many others in the same boat as you so it is great to hear firstly that the negative adjustment was submitted and lodged OK.  Yes, like you said, please let me know about the income statements.  Please remember this could take 1 - 3 days to be reflected correctly on MyGov.
Then run your pay and the YTD should be correct.
At least you have this fixed before EOFY.
Regards, Robyn Kelly

Hi Robyn

As things were going okay I thought I would with the help of our employee just check his MYGOV acc. Surprise it was already updated to the same figure as my summary in the app and my paper record. I went ahead and did today's pay on the app and this went through as well with the green tick of approval. I think we may have conquered the problem. As I said I will check his MYGOV again next week but Im glad there is only one more pay week left and hopefully I will be able to start the new financial year on a positive. I dont want to go to the updated version of the App so hope this one will stay around for awhile. Let me know if you have any news of this.

Once again many thanks

Kind Regards
Kerrie

Hi Kerrie, I am very pleased to hear that your issue has been resolved.

As I don't work for Reckon I am not privvy to any information and will leave the last query for Reckon to comment on.

You can email me direct if needed, but unfortunately I am unable to answer that query.  robyn@robynkelly.com.au

@Rav, hoping you are able to answer the last query for Kerrie?

Hi guys,
Big thank you to Robyn for all the assistance you've provided not only in this thread but others with similar queries on Community as well. It hasn't gone unnoticed.
This decimal related issue is certainly a frustrating one, and ideally not something we want users to contend with at this time of year. It been acknowledged by our app dev team and they're crafting work to address it.

Kerrie, when you say the updated version of the app do you mean the new Reckon Payroll app? If so, then there's no requirement for you to use that at all. Its an alternative app which has a bit more functionality when it comes to the payroll side of things for users that need/want it.

Yes that is what I meant. Thanks. I think I will stick with this one and master this first. I have been really grateful for Robyn's help and you for answering this question.
