I have done a Termination Payun and the tax withheld amount is incorrect for Working Holiday Maker. According to ATO Schedule 15 – Tax table for working holiday makers, termination payments and unused leave are taxed at 15% for payment less $37000. My payrun is not showing the tax and I don't think Reckon hasn't take this into account because I did a test run on the demo company. Can Rav or any Reckon staff helps me to look into my book please?

Anyone from Reckon can help me? I called the technical support but only given a temporary solution of adding 1cent and then modify the tax amount. It is a technical problem on my book because I tested on the demo book and also on my friend’s book. Theirs both are working but not mine.

    Hi Hawk

Get back onto Tech support, email them some reports, they aren't bookkeepers or accountants, sometimes you have to change the way you explain things or show them.

    Thanks for your reply!.

I have sent out an email to them. Their reply was do not recommend to amend the tax as it was automatically calculated based on my employee setting but if I really have to amend then I should use the temporary solution they had advised. The thing is the setting did take into account of correct tax rate for normal pay run but has not updated the tax rate for termination pay. Hopefully, they will take it further to the dev team for review other the wrong tax is withheld on termination.
