Can not export to Excel, was working earlier today. If I try and create a new Excel file it fails, if I try and overwrite an existing file, it fails. It's something that I do very often. The message says "excel could not open data file"

    Hi Jeff

so the export works you just can't save it in the excel program is that correct?

Have you checked there isn't a file already open in the background (alt+ pg up/down).

Have you tried closing everything and starting excel & program again?

The export saves in the RECKON cloud drive, not related to Excel open on the local computer. After the export, we download & save. I just tried this again and it still does not work.... disappointing that nobody from RECKON comes back with a fix but I sincerely thank you for the suggestion... I guess the next step is a*help phone call & I'll be online (on hold) for the standard hours

    Hi Jeff

You will need to explain better, am I correct in saying...you have exported to excel & saved the file to the Backup drive on the cloud - you have then used the red circle toolbox to downloaded the file from the cloud to the PC to the location of your choice (download is automatic once the file is selected from the B: drive on the cloud).... at what point is it 'failing' or want 'overwrite'?... so far you have said 1) cannot export it fails 2) try to create new excel file it fails 3) you try to overwrite existing it fails 4) then you say excel could not open data file, but in the next comment you say it has nothing to do with the excel program & you have managed to get the file downloaded to your PC...

At what point is the problem.
