Failed to update profile details

I'm trying to work through the Reckon One accreditation but before I can begin any of the courses it states that I must update my profile details.  When I fill out the details and click save a red box appears in the top left of the screen for a couple of seconds saying "Failed to update your profile"
I've tried just filling out all the fields that have an asterisk and all the other fields as well but nothing seems to work.
