I am a new user to ABA files and so far I haven't achieved anything.

Please see the attached screen shot of error message when I tried to load the file into the bank.

(Note: the file was created by someone who has been doing this for years.)

Error:

You will need to correct the following errors in your Third Party software and import the file again.

Fatal Error. Incorrect Sum Total Amount
Fatal Error. Invalid Credit Total Amount.
Fatal Error. Invalid Sum Total Amount.

Open your ABA file in notepad and make sure that it balances. For the bank to give you an error message it means that somewhere you have changed something and the bank can't read the file and make it balance.

Check the set up on your bank account in Reckon and see if you have selected the tick box in "Include Balance Record".  Some banks require this line, others do not.  If in doubt check with your bank.
