I have a friend who has Reckon 2013 (so not hosted) and wants to start using Payroll in there so needs to get the 2016/17 tax tables. Where can she get them from?

Hi Trish,
The 2016/17 Tax Table Update is available for Reckon Accounts 2016, unfortunately it cannot be installed on earlier versions of Reckon Accounts.

More info -

Thanks

Hi Rav.  So if they've got Reckon 2013 can they install Reckon Accounts 2016 by logging into the members site and accessing the installation key code and downloading?

Oh Trish..... Welcome to Reckon products!

As Rav has kindly pointed out but forgot a few key points, is that Reckon only supports its CURRENT product for tax table updates. So the only product that is getting the tax table update is Reckon Accounts 2016.

Sadly for you and anyone else not running this version, there is no tax table update for you.

Now to get the RA2016 update, you'll have to pay as its only available as a PAID upgrade.

So your choices are

- Pay the Reckon Tax to get RA2016 and the latest tax tables.
- Look at using a 3rd party payroll product to do your pays and continue with Reckon 2013, something like Reckon One, Quickbooks Online etc to do your pay runs. These are a monthly cost though. But you could off set this by moving over to them entirely
- Use what you have and adjust the tax manually to match up with the current tax tables. Not sure if this can be done correctly on your version. So might need to trial that.
- I was going to say look at a 3rd party company to provide the tax tables for you. This company does it for older quickbooks, but Reckon updated its software to block them for Reckon Accounts 2013 onwards. So out of luck there http://www.fghtables.com/QBooks/

Also remember that if you update to RA2016 and use the payroll, you'll have to keep updating year after year to keep the tax tables up to date. So factor that into all your costings.

Quicken is dead..... Its now called Reckon Accounts Personal Plus and that costs *drumroll*

Reckon Accounts Personal Plus 2016, Annual Licence (aka pay EVERY 12 months) is $135.00 or the Full Version (once off payment) is $275.00.
