GovConnect set up with User ID instead of instead of User name

I need to know how to change my Reckon Portal account to connect to GovConnect. I've just read that it needs to be set up with User name rather that User ID. Is it possible to cancel my set up and start again please?

Hi Lyn,
Have you already created a new Reckon Portal account by registering with an email address rather than using your Hosted login details to access the Portal?

If so, can I grab a few details from you so I can check out what's registered on our end for you.
  • Your Reckon Accounts Hosted user name
  • The ABN you're looking to register in GovConnect for STP
  • The email address you've used to register on the Reckon Portal for your new account
If you could send that to me in an email to I'll do a few checks and get back you on what needs to be done to sort this.

Hello Rav,
Thank you for your response. I have spoken with Kevin Russell who very kindly helped. I have set up the Portal using an email address rather than the User name, but it seems that's fine. It seems to be connected to GovConnect so we'll see what happens when I do my first pay run for 2019/20 next week.
