GST Codes on General Journals

I am trying to post general journals with tax implications. I want to record the journals with a GST code that will then be shown in the tax liability report - currently it won't show up in the report as they are only 'tax items'. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

    Hi Lachlan,
You should have a column on your Make General Journal Entries screen for Tax Item. If you use the relevant tax code, this will then flow through to your tax summary/tax liability reports.
    Hope this helps

Thanks Larissa - from what we've done in the past (admittedly a few months back)  the tax items don't correlate to tax code - has Reckon changed how things are done in this regard / updated their software?

    Cheers!

So what choice do you have in the tax item column of the journal window? Should be all your tax codes

    Hey Kris,

I have all the tax codes in the tax items list but they don't flow through to the tax liability report (or they didn't last time we tried).

    Cheers!
