Have you tried rebooting?

Have you updated to Windows 10 at all?

What OS are you on?

Can you open the sample file ok?

Hi Andrew. I am on Windows 10 and have been for some time and no issues but cannot open anything today. I have uninstalled the program and going to try a reinstall as someone else suggested on the forum. I still have the old version of 2007/2008 QB on the desktop and have tried to open and restore a file from a back up but it isnt allowing me to this either! Extremely frustrating to say the least. I can open the sample file and an old back company file from 2013 in the old QB version.

Hi Penny,

Go ahead with the reinstall and also try running the program as Admin also.

Have there been any changes to your system environment since the last time the program opened successfully?

I updated my security thru AVG Pro yesterday so perhaps this has interfered with it

Hi Winnie,

You will need to perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of Reckon Accounts. This is is not mean simply uninstalling the program from the control panel and installing it again. You will need to manually remove installation folders and registry keys. We have instructions on how to do this here. If you are not confident in making changes to your Registry please refer to your IT professional.

I hope this helps.

Luke.
