Go into the error. Click on "Review & Adjust" to get error details. What is the error message?

Hi Nadia,
As per my attachments - that is the only message that I get.
I know that the ATO has received the payments.
It's just your system telling me that they haven't??

Following, I've been getting the same error message for every pay run since beginning of May

Katrina,
Its a glitch in the STP app.
It thinks you need to get your Gross Pay back to a whole number.
Every time you get an error payrun that decimal number will change.
If this is NOT your most recent error you need to find your most recent error and find the number in that error message to work out the "fix".

If this is your most RECENT error you need to do the following
Create a new pay run
Choose one of your employees, & enter

Gross Pay $0.4200000001 (After the decimal point type 42 , then 7 "zeros" & a 1)
Tax $0
Superannuation $0

This will add onto your figure of 61096.5799999999 which will then equal the whole number $61,097,

It will let you enter the number with 10 decimal places, but when you click Save they may not all appear on the next screen.

The payrun should submit without Error.
If you get another "Error", post your screenshot on here because it will DEFINITELY be the most recent error.

yeah and how do you fix the fact that STP has added the invalid amounts to the YTD figure that does not reconcile with the ATO figure

I have submitted three pay runs and an adjustment that all failed thus the YTD for my employee is now way out of whack.

users should not need to make floating point adjustments because of a simple programming error that needs to be Fixed.

Greg,
Hopefully Reckon will fix it.
But this close to June 30 we don't have time to wait for them, so doing a floating decimal adjustment seems to be the only option.

Heidi,
What are the error details that come up when you tap "Review & Adjust"?
Specifically, what is the number with all the decimal places?
& does it mention "Gross A" or "Superannuation" or something else?

Hi Nadia
This is a screenshot of one of our latest pay runs

I fixed this problem by cancelling out the 11 decimal places ending in the number 1,

I was able to get it back to 2 decimal places, by entering a new pay run with...

Gross pay $0,
Tax $0,
Superannuation $-0.00000000001 (After the decimal point put 10 zeros & then 1)

Other people have found the "minus" wouldn't work so instead they added on $0.00999999999 (2 zeros & 9 nines) therefore increasing the superannuation by 1 cent.

It allowed me to enter the 11 decimal places, then when I hit SAVE it only showed 2 decimal places (-0.00) but it let me submit it and stopped giving me errors.

Hi Nadia,
I can do the changes as you said - but will this then effect the ATO ?  The ATO have already acknowledged the payments and they have been processed.
It's just your system that is wrong.

It might make your gross income incorrect by 42 cents.

Thank you for letting me know.
I will discuss with my accountant and find out what to do.
Are you going to fix your problem with your program ?
Or do I need to change to another STP provider ?

Hi Katrina,
Nadia is a fellow user like yourself who has been awesome in contributing on the Community to help folks who are experiencing issues with the app at the moment.

In regard to the issue causing the decimal issue itself, I'll be able to answer that. Yes our development team are aware of this problem and I've certainly made it clear that the volume of users who are affected by it is only increasing. They've logged it and are working on creating a fix for it. I've been advised its not too far off and as soon as its available we'll be announcing it on the Community.
