How can I split a deposit between different customers

I have a bank deposit wich is a total of all eftpos transactions i have completed in one day, when I try and allocate receipts it wants to give the customer a credit for the remaining balance. How can I split the total amount between different customers?

    Hi Geoff I am hoping I understand your question. Firstly the customer has no reflection on your bank deposits, EFTPOS totals. There are two ways to handle EFTPOS (and probably many more). Firstly Each transaction from the individual customer should be received to either Undeposited funds or an EFTPOS clearing Account. At the end of the day these transactions are either deposited from undeposited funds into your bank account as a lump sum or transfered from your EFTPOS Clearing account to your bank account as either a deposit or a transfer. Geoff, I would strongly suggest some training would be of great benefit. A good trainer can not only teach software techniques, but also bookkeeping principles. Hope this answers your question.
