How do I create a new Customised Letter Template within the new Hosted version??

Im trying to create a new letter template.
The help window referes me to a "Customise letter Template" within the company menu? I cant see this?
The help menu talks about a  "Letters and Envelopes"window. I cant see this either??
Can someone help explain this please?

Hey Erdem, thanks for your post and welcome to the Reckon Community. This feature is only available on the Desktop version. Hosted seems to have the same help index as the Desktop version. This does make sense, as the product is essentially the same, aside from the fact that due to licensing agreements with Microsoft, Office applications do not directly integrate, so features like editing templates is not possible. Apologies if any inconvenience has occurred and thank you for raising this with us. I will pass on your feedback to the Help Index issue with our development team. ^Mirko

So is it possibel to create a custom template using fields such as name and adress of customers from our company file? If it can be done for Invoice and purchase order templates, can it be done in the same way by copy and pasting the letter?

Hey Erdem, sorry my original answer was not so clear. You can create your own invoices and purchase order templates. Editing and Creating actual Word or Excel files is only available on the Desktop version. Hope this clears things up a little.

It seems the upgrade was not really so, in many respects.
Are there any plans to have this facility in the future for word or excell files?

Hey Erdem, thanks for your response. This change resulted from licensing changes made by Microsoft. Due to those Licensing changes, these functions need to be removed.

Hi Erdem,

As part of the Hosted version you are entitled to a desktop licence of the same software.

If this feature was really important to you, you can contact Reckon to organise a complimentary desktop licence and you can download your data file as required to be able to use this feature.

If you would like help organising this licence or need more specific details, please feel free to email me directly.

Thank you for your suggestion and help.
Is it possible to have the desktop version updated say at the end of the week with the company file form the hosted version? Who do I call to get a complimentary version of the desktop software?

I think the number is 1800 732 566.

Sally is correct Erdem, you would need to download your Hosted data file manually when you wish to use it on the complimentary desktop license. You can organise the license by contacting one of our great Accredited Partners like Sally, or give our customer service team a call on 1800 RECKON (which numerically is like Sally said 1800 732 566).
