How do I update multiple employee records for the recent increase in the national minimum wage?

We are using Reckon Accounts Enterprise in a multi-user environment and currently have the 2014-15 version.  We have paid for and will soon upgrade to the 2015-16 version.
Is there a way to update the pay records for multiple employees who are all on the same rate?
We have 20 employees records that need to be updated for the recent increase in the national minimum wage rate.
Please tell me there is a quick way and that I don't have to be in single-user mode and that I don't have to edit each employee record one by one, which would be very time consuming and cumbersome.

Sorry, I'll be the bearer of the bad news :)... one employee at a time!!!!!!

Unless chandra has one of  his miracle spreadsheets that you can change rates on and import.

20 want take you long :)  don't forget to check any allowance changes as well would have to see you have to do the 20 twice :)

Unfortunately, I had to update 140 employees manually last week as I couldn't  figure out how to update the whole lot. Such a pain!

    Hi Bruce,

I use the quick and dirty method of exporting the employee file to a ".IIF" list, open the list in Excel, find the hourly rate (below the employee address etc list), and change the amounts.

When you save the file make sure you save it in the original format.

Import the file into Reckon and hey presto, you've made the changes.

DO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU START!

    Cheers,

    Janos

Good to hear Kathy you are doing your sales import using iif, its workaround option and free one as well, so businesses makes this choice . Its always manual handling using iif option, and can be fiddly and  does not work on 1st attempt on complicated imports. " Automation vs Workaround" article i wrote  in view of advance business technology is going now.

Thank you to all those who have replied.  Fortunately it  didn't take too long to update the pays for 20 employees.  I wouldn't like to be doing 140 though.  Nevertheless, Reckon should consider providing more efficient ways to amend multiple records, such as in a table or by groupings, so that the number of mouse clicks are reduced.  I have previously used the process of exporting, modifying and re-importing an IIF file for loading budgets, but didn't think of doing it for pay records.  I'll keep that in mind for next time.  Thanks again to all.
