How do you process an adjustment in STP?

I have previously tried to get an answer for this problem but got given a brief answer and then when I lodged a follow up question it goes unanswered.

I need to get this sorted ASAP as the end of year if a week away. During the year I had one of my pay not get submitted due to an error, it was declined by the ATO. When you go into the payment it asks if you want to review & adjust in bold red. So I thought that I had to use the review & adjust to resubmit the pay. I did it twice and it never updated the and ever since the balance in the employees pay summary has 3 extra pays included in the total.

At the start of this month I tried to do another review & adjust but this time I put in negative figures for wages, tax and super. This did nothing for the pay summary totals and they still show that the summary is 3 pay to much. I also got my employee to check their balance in the their MyGov account and it shows the same amounts as the pay summary. So at this stage when they lodge their tax return the information the ATO has is incorrect. 

I have spoke to the ATO and they can not change anything from their end it must be adjusted in the app. 

So, RAV, would you please give me a detailed answer as to how to process an adjustment in the app so that the figures for my employee are correct with the ATO. It would seem that if the adjustment shows in the pay summary then it will show in my employees MyGov account as well.

My figure is not match with ATO as well. I run some adjustments with negative figures. They looks ok with APP and refreshed to employee my GOV account as well. I think if the employee's my gov account figure is matched with your records, the problem is solved.

Hi Karen,

Thank you so much for that info, it has worked and my employee's Mygov totals with the app and now with my books. The only thing with it I didnt have a blue box to slide to the negative I just entered a minus figure.

Michael the blue box to slide is dependent on the phone you are using so no problems re the minus sign.

Hi , we dont appear to have a blue line to slide or a minus sign to use to effect adjustment

Some phones just have a minus symbol, others have the blue bar.  Either way as long as the figure is a minus.
