We have an employee who has his own PAYG tax rate that is not the same as the current voluntary rates automatically set up in Payroll Premier. Can I create a new one and how is this done?

    Hi Bianca,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.

Do You mean a PAYG withholding tax on income by employees, or a PAYG Instalment for Business Tax?

For employees, you can  set a flat rate of tax.  In the Employee Record in their Taxes button, set the Tax Code to 8 - No TaxC, then in the Tax % box, enter in the flat rate percentage.

If paying additional tax, enter the dollar amount in the Extra Tax field.

PAYGI has a number of options on the BAS Lodgement Form.

    Hope this helps.

    regards,
    John.

    Hi John,

Thanks for replying. I mean PAYG withholding tax on income by employees.

I am using Payroll Premier 2016/17 and it doesn't have what you have suggested in regards to Tax Code 8-No Tax C.

Can you advise for Payroll Premier?

    Thanks

    Bianca

    My apologies Bianca,

Check out Tax Scale List in the Help Index for a guide on adding a tax scale.  You may also want to look at a couple of existing tax scales in the Tax Scale List to get an idea of what may be required. A flat rate of tax will be the easiest to create.

    regards,
    John.
