There are situations that arise where you come across a transaction that is damaged and viewing it results in a program crash.

You may encounter this:
- When you are attempting to view a transaction by zooming into it from a report.

- When clicking the Previous or Next button when in an Invoice, Bill, Cheque, Sales Receipt data entry form

Solution:

1) Identify the transaction

2) Go to the Chart of Accounts List and select the appropriate account
- for invoices, go to the Accounts Receivable register - for bills, go to the Accounts Payable register

Then go to the register by clicking the Edit menu and then selecting Use Register or press the Ctrl and R keys simultaneously

3) Scroll up/down until you locate the transaction

- do not double-click or try to view the transaction (this will result in a crash)
- Highlight the transaction in the account register, just click once or use the up/down arrows until the transaction is selected
5) Delete the transaction by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl and D keys
- you can also click the Edit menu and select Delete <transaction type>
example Edit | Delete Tax Invoice

- Click OK to delete the transaction
- If deleting an older transaction, you may need to enter a Closing Date password
