How to post a pay run with a day of annual leave

Hi, to process a day of annual leave in a pay run; am I supposed to load the Ordinary pay item as per the original full week's pay, and then load a separate Annual Leave item underneath with the hours taken for leave?

This makes the total pay amount more than what they should be getting paid for the week. Is there a way for the annual leave hours to be deducted instead and no pay amount is added? 

Appreciate if any video or instruction guides are shared too.

    Change the number of hours by deducting the leave hours and then put them on the next line under annual leave
