How to set our custom Remittance advice as the default?

How do we set  custom Remittance advice as the default? I have inactivated the standard RA remittance form (no longer in Lists/Templates) but when I go to print/email the remittance I have to select our custom one.

You will have to select it all the time due to the product design of this area. We have just added the new customizable template for Remittance Advise.

Plus if we forget to change it and email out Remittance advices, our company looks 'shabby'.... yay!

Thanks Ifti...... I've got about a million 'feedback requests' in the system between Reckon Accounts and Point of Sales, but I don't like my chances of seeing any being actioned!

It would also help if the Suggest Features actually worked. It keeps coming up with script error and when that finally disappears says that my browser is not supported but I am running the latest version of Chrome. If the features is no longer available and has to be done via the community then it should link straight to it.

Hi Nori,

I'm sorry the error message is a little confusing as it does not really involve your browser.  It is a fault within Reckon Accounts that is being investigated by the developers.  

Our Developers would love to hear your suggestions so please post it here on the Community as an Idea.  It'll be taken into consideration with other suggestions in their normal planning and development cycle.

Has anybody had any more joy with this silly default remittance templates?

If we cannot set a new default template, then it would be great if we could at least modify the standard one to be a little more in theme with our other documents...

At this stage, no fix Phil. You can't edit the 'default' standard template, and you can't change the default template to be a different one.

The great news is as Alison pointed out below, the fix will be to cough up some money and 'upgrade' to the bug fix version being Reckon Accounts 2016, but that is 5 months away.

Until then, like the rest of us, you'll have to manually select the remittance template :(
After following up further with Reckon I received the following response: "Our product management team have identified this issue to be scoped for a fix in the March 2016 release."  I did ask if there was a way they could let the Community know if possible.  So we will have to remember to change to our chose format until March.  Kind regards,  Alison

It's still not fixed in Reckon Accounts 2016. Furthermore, if the company name is longer than the standard template can handle, it just gets chopped off and doesn't appear when printed.

So missed RA2016 release wonder if it made it into RA2017 or we need to wait till 2018!
