i have 2 files one of which opens when Reckon is started the other I have to find the account I bel

i have 2 files one of which opens when Reckon is started the other I have to find the account I believe the file cannot be found as the link has been broken somewhere along the line how do I rectify this problem. However when you do the search with the file on computer it comes up straight away

    It looks like I have got the same problem here! I can't get into my file and it gives an error message.

    Hi Ray and Mariske,
    Can I confirm which Reckon product you're using?

    This thread has been marked as both Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon Personal Range so if you can please confirm that would be great.

    If its Reckon Accounts Hosted, are you able to access your company file via File > Open or Restore a Company File? If not, can you let me know what is happening when you try and if you're getting any error messages etc.

    I use hosted. Its been resolved, I'm able to get into file again! Not sure what was causing the problem before...maybe its got something to do with update over the weekend?

    Hi Rav, Reckon Accounts Personal Plus 2018 upgrade no error messages I have 2 separate files JSF 2019.QDF and Trust2019.QDF JSF opens correctly the Trust does not I close my computer using JSF and then open the TRust from the file drop down box option. If I close the Trust file then when I restart I am asked how do I want to open the file I choose I am a Reckon user and the file is displayed and it can be opened from there, appreciate any suggestions Ray

    Hi Dave I can locate the file and open it but when I go to change the name of the file from trust2019 to Trust19 I get a message COULD NOT FIND THE FILE yet I can open it from this location I am using the actual file name in the drop down box is Documents\quicken\Trust2019\trust2019 it added the extra trust when I saved the file I type in this file and it cannot be found but opens from inside Quicken

    I have tried to change the name of the problem file but cannot do so even changed the location to a to a shorter file name the other file works perfect I validated the file and tried to change the name I could not do it as it cannot find the file confused to say the least
