Yes. Run an accounts payable report. Its likely a creditor is in credit.

This hasn't shown any balances with a credit, any other suggestions?

I have plenty of suggestions yes. What happens if you run a general ledger detail report? Can you see the point at which it tips over into credit?

Thanks for your suggestion Russell but I have tracked it down. Even though it didn't show as a credit or outstanding amount, it was actually a payment which was received but not ticked off.
