I have just updated my computer to windows 10 I am now trying to get back into Quicken home and business personal plus I fill in the personal details and go to next and it comes up with were sorry there was an error during the last step please try again later I am getting very frustrated with it

I would suggest you should call customer service on 1800 732 566 and speak to the customer service/sales to activate it over the phone.
