I have the free reckon app single touch payroll and have registered for job keeper.my accountant told me to contact software provider to set up software properly what do I do.

Rav, one other question (sorry, piggybacking on Gregs questions i know!), for payments already made less than the 1500 per fortnight, can an edit be made on these previous submissions, or should we be creating an additional pay run? Appreciate your advice. thanks
im sure i have read about this somewhere on your guides but i cannot locate it now. thanks

hi Greg, provided your business has less than 4 employees i cant see it a problem to keep using the free app reckon stp, as i am. To be recognised by the ATO, you must set up through the business portal and ensure you 'manage your employees' - as directed on ato website. Good idea to refer to that if you haven't already. I have added the 'top up' portion as an allowance item in the individual pay runs, this indicates that i have paid the minimum 750 less tax to my employees. 
There has been an extension of time to 8 may to have this sorted, it was initially today. So you can breathe ! Having said that i am getting mine all done today so i don't have to loose any more sleep.
Where i have made previous payments under the min 750, i am seeking advice from Rav as to how i do this....however expect i will be inputting an adjustment pay run to indicate the top up allowance amount. Hopefully he will clarify this for us shortly.
I hope this all makes sense.

Greg, you need to follow the info in the article to ensure JobKeeper payments are sent correctly. The second aspect is defining eligible employees in the ATO Business Portal from May 4 when its available.

Jo - you can create an additional payrun for the topup allowance.

That’s rav and jo only have one employee.so do I go on ato business Portal and manage my employees then what?
