If the GST rate increases from 10% to 15% can I change it?

Currently running Advantage Home & Business 2011 and worried if GST rate increases to 15% how will I change my rate.  Can the GST rate be changed/modified in Accounts Home & Business 2016

    Hi ShezMac,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community!

    If the GST rate is altered, we'll be given plenty of notice to make adjustments to the program and if it were to happen, we will most likely issue a patch which will be available to users of the latest version.

    Home and Business 2011 is no longer supported so in this case you will need to set up a customised tax code.

    Thank you, I was thinking of upgrading because of the possible GST change, but will hang off for now.  How do I set up a customised tax code

    Agree Andrew, I am happy with the 2011 version. I had to purchase this version because the previous version was riddled with faults but no patch was ever issued

    Hi ShezMac,

    Customised tax codes can be created by following this navigation path -

    Business > Business Lists > Tax Code List >
    You will need to take not of the alert message you are presented with at this point. This states newly created tax codes will not appear in BAS report calculations
    > You will then be prompted with a dialog box to create a new tax code.

    Existing tax codes such GST, NCG etc will remain showing at the pre-existing tax rate of 10% in the BAS report.

    Don't be surprised if the GST stays the same so don't loose any sleep at the moment.
