Hi,  I have just rang the "customer service line" to ask for help / information in regard to uploading of payroll transactions into QB.  I was told that you cannot upload any payroll transactions into QB as it wont allow it and you can use a IIF file but only for accounts payable?  But from what I have read on the forums etc it says that it is possible to do?  Could you please send me some information regarding this.

Hi Sarah,

The person you spoke with is correct, payroll transactions can't be imported by IIF.  At least as far as we know this is the case.  The best places to find information on IIF files would be the help menu and Intuits website for IIF imports https://community.intuit.com/articles/1501233-iif-overview-import-kit-sample-files-and-headers.  Please note that Reckon tech support is not able to help in creating and importing these files as its outside the scope of Reckons support.

Regards,
Shane.

HI Shane,  Just wanted to let you know that this is possible.  I have managed to import timesheets etc for employee's.  I now import my IIF file into QB and it works great, saves having to manually enter the hours for all employees.  Thanks Sarah
Sarah,   so what did you do , you mean the Actual hours with all  payroll item codes and additions and populate  the payroll and time sheet entry.

Hi Chandra,  Yes I have all my payroll codes in a third party Time and Attendance program, so I produce a report and I import using Pro Timer I select the dates for the week ending and it automatically put's the relevant hours against the employee names.
